A few months ago, I tried out Urban Remedy’s Signature juice cleanse for three days. With processed food filled days, I was in desperate need of some cleansing and feeling better. With each day on the cleanse, I felt a little lighter and cleaner. The juices were tasty and thankfully so, otherwise it would have been tough to cleanse.
With organic salads and greens supplementing my juices, I felt strong and refreshed. It felt good to be putting clean foods into my body. Plus, it was good to know that unlike several juice companies out there, Urban Remedy juices are all organic and fresh. The juices are thoughtfully created, awfully tasty and re-energizing. Juice cleansing has never been easy for me, but I’m hoping it’ll get easier with time. The afternoons and nights on the cleanse were the hardest, but luckily Urban Remedy has this punchy raspberry smoothie called Warrior juice that really saved me from afternoon slumps!
The Warrior drink is made with raspberries and chia seeds and really soothing. Smooth, punchy and nourishing. Sometimes, you need a little juice cleanse to boost your mood and get you back on track. I’ve asked Urban Remedy’s fabulous founder, Neka Pasquale, on how she eats clean and stays so energized and beautiful! May we be all inspired! Love, D.
GW: What are your favorite juice recipes?

GW: Tips on eating cleaner…
NP: I always tell people to ask themselves this question when deciding what to eat “Is this meal going to cleanse me or clog me?” Foods that cleanse have high water content like green vegetables, juicy fruits, berries, sprouts, soaked nuts and seeds, unprocessed whole grains like quinona, millet, red rice. If you eat meat organic chicken/turkey, organic grass fed beef, organic pastured eggs. Fermented foods like raw sauerkraut, pickles, miso. Apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, avocado. Clogging foods include processed packaged foods, alcohol, fried, white sugar and flour containing foods, processed meat, gmo ingredients, etc.
GW: Tips for new moms to eating cleaner or juicing?
NP: Yes, see above same tip. The higher nutrient whole foods you eat the more nutrients your baby will get if you are breastfeeding. And the better you will feel.
GW: How to lose the last ten pounds?
